Rosemary Angyasy

Rosemary Angyasy started writting late in primary school. She enjoyed story telling - her first story was called Dollar Bill. This was about the intergration of decimal currency, something that was happening at the time. Although this book was never published, it gained her an A+ from her teacher.

During high school, Rosemary fell in love with poetry and has 186 poems tucked away in her repetoire. Only 2 of these being made public with one being published in a magazine and the other read at her wedding.

Married, with 3 children, writting seemed to take a back seat. But once grandchildren came along, the inspiration to write was revitalised, as now she had a captive audience. Her writting leaned towards fun, interesting and educational strories with brightly coloured illustrations. Now her focus is on adapting stories for children on the ASD scale. This has become a passion for her as she has grandchildren with special needs.

Her first published book "The Duck Barks" began as a game she use to play with her grandchildren, that eventually was made into a flip folder around 10 years ago. This year it was modified to cater for the needs of the grandson. These changes include simple text, colour emphasis on each new animal and sound, predictive layout, bright and simple illustrations and allows for quick and interactive story telling.

Before her first book even left the printers, a second one was in the planning so watch this space.
